Having walked this earth for 80 years, I have never witnessed a sea of humanity of this magnitude. In my extensive travels and experiences, I have never encountered a festival that matches the splendor and majesty of Shri Gavisiddeshwara Jathra Mahotsava. Shri Baba Ramdevji Maharaj, Yoga Guru.
I've had the privilege of witnessing the majestic Kumbha Melas in Haridwar, Allahabad, and Nasik, and conducting yoga camps in these sacred locations. However, participating in the Maha Rathotsava of Shri Gavimath, made me realize that the Jathra Mahotsava, in essence, is another Kumbha Mela. While North India's Maha Kumbha Mela occurs once every 12 years, South India is blessed to have its own Maha Kumbha Mela in Koppal every year, in the form of Shri Gavisiddeshwara Jathra Mahotsava.
